Just received my Spectec 11g card yesterday. I have a Verizon Q9c smartphone. Installed the software from the web based on other recommendations to avoid the software shipped. Plugged in the chip and bam! there was my network at home. Put in my WPA passwword and away I went surfing. Very cool and very fast. The coolest part is that I don’t have to turn off the phone to swap out the chips. I just pop out the memory card and slide in the WIFI card and visa versa no problem.

I wont comment about how it sticks out about less than a quarter inch on the right side of my Q9c. Because I knew that is how it would look when I bought it. This card works great, connects to my WPA enabled wifi at home, and is lightning quick. I did have to get the driver from Spectec’s website, as the included CD does not have drivers for a Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone edition. So if you have this type of phone it will work for you, not sure about the other Q9 models (ATT & Verizon) but it should work as well as its the same model (ATT Q9 already has wifi). Love it! Feeds my need for internet access on my Smartphone while staving off my need to suscribe to a data plan.

I purchased this for my Motorola Q9C after reading reviews on several websites. I downloaded the Windows Mobile 6 driver from Spectec’s website, and it connected easily to my home network. It even has exceptional range as I have been able to connect about anywhere my laptop is able. The only glitch was trying to figure out how to the Q9C to access the internet via wifi instead of the Verizon network.
